Servicing

Gas Servicing

Gas appliances need regular servicing to ensure the appliance is operating efficiently and safely.
Gas regulations recommend a regular schedule of maintenance and manufacturers also recommend annual servicing which often forms part of their guarantee.
From 2007 it will form part of the home buyers pack to ensure that details of maintenance and repair work are recorded.

Services

At Elite Heating Services we can service all your gas appliances including.

Gas Boilers & Combi Boilers
Including combi boilers, back boilers, cast iron and condensing boilers

Gas Fires
Including decorative, radiant and convertor

Water heaters
Including single and multi point

Cookers
Including hobs, free standing and built-in

At Elite Heating Services our gas engineer will diagnose and repair your fault and will not recommend replacement parts or appliances unless there is a good reason. However if your boiler is old or uses a permanent pilot you should consider changing for a new condensing boiler, as this will save you money on gas and help protect the environment.
All servicing is carried out to the manufacturers recomendations and original replacement parts are used where possible. Parts replaced are covered by a 12 months guarantee.

GAS SAFE™ REGISTER REPLACES CORGI™

Gas Safe Register will replace CORGI gas registration in Great Britain on 1 April 2009. It will be the official industry stamp for gas safety.

The Health and Safety Executive, who is responsible for regulating gas safety in Great Britain, will oversee Gas Safe Register.

The new register will provide enhanced levels of service and clearly written rules of registration. There will also be new services and benefits designed to improve the registration scheme and promote gas safety.

Gas Safe Register replaces CORGI

Brits too trusting when it comes to gas safety

From 1 April 2009, Gas Safe RegisterTM replaces the CORGI gas registration scheme in Great Britain* and launches a campaign to make the nation gas safe.  New research from Gas Safe Register reveals that when it comes to gas safety, Brits are far too trusting.

Alarmingly, over half** of Great Britain’s population said they took it on trust that their gas engineer was properly registered and never checked that they were. A trust which if broken can make the difference between life and death.

With 14 people dying from carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning last year due to badly installed, repaired and maintained gas appliances, keeping the public safe is Gas Safe Register’s top priority. The ‘make Britain gas safe’ message is simple. Be safe, use a registered engineer and always check the card.
